The CT-3441T Rapid Carbon Fiber Tripod from Feisol is a heavy-duty four-section carbon fiber tripod weighing only 2.6 lb. and supporting up to 44 lb. It can be extended to a maximum height of 68.1". The legs are reverse-folding so that they enclose the center column and tripod head, allowing the tripod to fold down to 18.9". Feisol's Rapid anti-leg rotation technology prevents unwanted leg twist. A tripod bag is included for storage and transport. We pair this tripod with the Sirui VA-5 pan-head to create an extremely solid package that will handle about any optic you're man enough to pack short of a Kowa Highlander or Docter 80mm binocular. You could shoot off this tripod if you have a well balanced rifle, but if shooting is your passion, I would step up to our RRS tripods for better performance.

This is a very solid tripod with a robust weight rating of 44 pounds in a sub 4 pound kit when paired with the Sirui VA-5 head. It’s not the lightest or most compact, but if you need more stability than a typical backpacking tripod, then either of our Feisol tripods are worth a look. I’ve run this with the BTX 95 and was pleased with how it handled. It’s not going to manage wind vibrations like an RRS, but this tripod and head combo is over $700 cheaper and is more affordable as a rental item too. Anyone 6’2″ and under should be able to use this as a stand up tripod on flat ground when fully extended.

If you can shoot kneeling or sitting, with the center column down, this tripod will provide good support for a hunting rifle under 12 pounds.

Inspection Period
