Absolutely the easiest to use and most convenient chronograph I’ve ever used for archery or rifle applications. I’ve tested this alongside the Magnetospeed and the LabRadar and it tracks consistently within a few fps of those proven units. As soon as you power up the unit it walks you through the settings for your application, so you probably won’t ever need to refer to the instruction manual. The batteries last a LONG time because the unit doesn’t take much power. After a couple hours on the range my unit consistently has over 80% battery remaining – even in colder temps. You’ll need a tripod to get the unit up high enough to use with your bow, but the included mini tripod works fine shooting rifles off a bench or prone. However, the unit can get disturbed by the muzzle blast or recoil vibration from a rifle if you’re on a lightweight bench, so you may want to put it on a heavier tripod if you’re shooting a magnum cartridge or rifle with a brake. Most of the time the mini tripod does the job just fine.
I have had excellent results with the unit and it never misses a shot if I have it pointed correctly and within the recommended range of the muzzle or arrow.
If you need a chronograph, this is a fantastic choice! It’s definitely more convenient to travel with, works on everything, batteries last all day if needed, and it’s so – SO easy to use! It also connects seamlessly with the free Garmin ShotView App to store and review your range sessions on your mobile device.
